Tutoring Programs

In Fall of 2021, Children First launched our first literacy program with Williams Elementary.

Our program’s central goal is to provide tailored literacy support through small group interventions and structured engagements. This initiative is specifically designed for students grappling with challenges in reading and reading comprehension, aiming to enhance their overall literacy skills. The program spans ten weeks, offering three sessions per week, with each session lasting three hours. To facilitate this support, we enlist the expertise of nine dedicated reading coaches each semester, and they are compensated for their valuable contributions.

2024-2025 LITERACY PROGRAM

For the 2024-2025 school year, we proudly expanded our literacy program to Jefferson Elementary School! Our dedicated team of tutors recently completed a successful 15-week Fall Semester, making steady progress in improving students’ reading comprehension, fluency, and overall confidence in both schools.

As we approach the final five weeks of our Spring Semester, we are eager to see the continued growth of our students and look forward to sharing the impact this program has had on their literacy development. Stay tuned for updates on their progress! (updated 2.5.24)
