Outdoor Programs
Children First is the proud recipient of an Outdoor Equity Grant in partnership with the Kern County Superintendent of Schools. This program is funded by the Outdoor Equity Grants Program, created through AB 209 and administered by California State Parks, Office of Grants and Local Services.
Thanks to the Outdoor Equity Grant, we’re empowering our community to explore the great outdoors, breaking down barriers and providing access to life-changing experiences like family nature days, beach cleanups, and camping trips.
