Victor Palacio

After learning of Children First, and its mission to directly address access to essential resources, food insecurity and educational opportunities – I knew I had to connect and support the organization’s efforts. Professionally, I engage the community to create opportunity that serves the homeless population and empowers them to rebuild their lives toward a sustainable future. In the same vein, my passion to disrupt intergenerational poverty and empower traditionally marginalized groups has brought me to serve on the Children First Board. As a Board Member, I hope to create opportunities for East Bakersfield and the many families that reside within. Although I only moved to Bakersfield in 2015, I have since started a family and am now planting my roots here. While doing so, I hope to lend my perspective, skills, and talents to help uplift and empower marginalized, impoverished, and disadvantaged peoples within my community.
