We appreciate our partnerships with the students at various high schools, Keep Bakersfield Beautiful, and the residents that want to give back. It was insane. The curbside line reached far down the road curving down into Kentucky street. The walk up line was longer than we have ever seen. The work our volunteers put in is immeasurable. We genuinely appreciate all those that come out and help us prepare for this major event.

We are adding great things to our food distribution! You can now find a CapK representative table!! Thank you @capkwic!! Come with all your WIC and capK questions. Plus we will have different non-profit organizations come out and discuss their services. We had @bikebakersfield come out this past Thursday. Did you see them?

Next food distribution is 4/20! We will see everyone in April! 🍱

We are looking for one artist to highlight at our East Bakersfield Festival. The chosen artist will be given a 4x8 foot wall to paint. The painted image should be East Bakersfield inspired reflecting community. $500 stipend! Link in bio!

Join us March 4th for Family Nature Day! A garden workshop series with Carla Perez Palm, founder of Seeds of Inspiration.

Discover the benefits of immersing yourself in nature and learn gardening basics in a small introductory discussion. Afterwards we will get creative by painting some pots and planting some seeds together!

These workshops will continue on the first Saturday of every month until September, from 10am-12pm. Spread the word and join us for a fun and educational day outdoors!🌻🌿
